Is your GPA target still reachable?
Your future credits determine how much room you have to move an existing average.
A goal planner solves for the future average needed to reach your target. It requires your current GPA, counted credits already completed, future counted credits and a consistent maximum scale.
A 3.20 across 60 credits cannot become 3.50 after just 15 more credits on a 4.0 scale. The required future GPA is 4.70. With perfect future grades, the attainable cumulative GPA is 3.36.
A lower target or a longer credit window can change the arithmetic. Retaking a course is a separate policy question: some institutions replace a grade and others retain both attempts. Do not assume a replacement rule without checking.
Try this with your own course
- Confirm counted credits completed and the credits still expected to count.
- Compare the required future GPA with the maximum of the same scale.
- Test a lower cumulative target or a longer credit window, while keeping retake policies separate.
Before relying on the answer
Use your syllabus, timetable or transcript for the inputs. The calculator checks the arithmetic under those inputs; your institution decides the official result. Save a scenario as a plan rather than treating it as a confirmed mark.
